Non-industry-sponsored clinical trials are less likely than industry-sponsored trials to provide consent documents in patients' primary languages

Clinical trials not sponsored by industry are substantially less likely than industry-sponsored trials to have consent documents available in, and to obtain consent in, patients' primary languages — so patients with a primary language other than English who do enrol are more often asked to sign a consent document they cannot fully read.
