LEP patients prefer and value direct bilingual-provider care over interpreter-mediated care

LEP (Spanish-speaking) patients and their families express a strong preference for, and place high value on, direct language-concordant care from a bilingual provider over interpreter-mediated care; they endorse that discordant care worsens quality and report less comfort using an interpreter.
