Limited English proficiency is associated with increased venous thromboembolic complications after knee arthroplasty

Limited English proficiency (patient–provider language discordance) is associated with increased rates of venous thromboembolic complications — deep vein thrombosis and venous thromboembolism — after knee arthroplasty, both in unadjusted comparison and after multivariable adjustment for demographic, comorbidity, and perioperative factors.
