Evaluations of point-of-care interpretation applications center the provider rather than the LLP patient perspective

Existing evaluations of point-of-care interpretation applications focus predominantly on the healthcare provider's perspective, leaving the limited-language-proficiency patient's own perceptions of these tools largely unstudied.

Narrative synthesis #

The review identifies a research gap: most included applications were assessed through the provider's evaluation of the technology, and the LLP patient's own perceptions were rarely captured, prompting a call for future studies of the patient perspective. This is a measurement-scope claim about whose perspective the evidence represents. Certainty/GRADE appraisal is left for expert review.
