Language concordance does not change clinical visit length

Patient–provider language concordance does not significantly change the total length of the clinical visit; interpreter-mediated (discordant) visits are of comparable duration to concordant visits — although equal total length may mask reduced direct patient–provider communication when interpreter speaking time is included.
