Limited English proficiency is associated with higher postoperative pneumonia after knee arthroplasty

Limited English proficiency (patient–provider language discordance) is associated with higher rates of postoperative pneumonia after knee arthroplasty. Within this single cohort the evidence is mixed: the crude rate difference was significant, but the association did not persist after covariate adjustment.
