The one study bearing on this claim (Rainey 2023) found no difference in reoperations (0% vs 1.5%, P = 1.000) with a single event across both arms and no power for this outcome. The null is wired as contradicting. This thin claim exists mainly to carry the null faithfully; a human may merge or retire it.
